  Be very careful with your reservation. Things like hot tub and hikes cost extra. You might get over charged once you get there and are stuck. Make sure the price agreed upon in advance actually the price you will be billed.

  I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the lodge for two nights. The staff is friendly and the rooms suit the remote location and stay true to a cozy wilderness feel. There is a wood fired hot tub right along the river making for spectacular views while soaking. The lodge also offers massage services, guided tours and yoga as well as live jazz every night before dinner. I did not partake in any adventures since I decided to read a book out on the patio instead. The food was also delicious, but just be aware that it is not included in your room rate and some may find the all inclusive option quite expensive especially since there is also an 18% service charge on top of everything.

  We spent two nights at Trout Point Lodge. It is in the middle of nowhere, mostly unplugged from the world. We stayed in a tree house junior suite, it was wonderful. We took walks, drank wine and beer with other guests in the great room and adjacent porch. We went into the hot tub and sauna that are placed alongside a stream. We really felt like we unplugged, loved it.

  The food is excellent. I liked breakfast and lunch. Dinner from a guys perspective is too fancy, not enough, and over priced.

  Trout Point surpassed any other hotel or inn on our recent travels. The room was extremely spacious, beautifully appointed and decorated, with river views and lots of light. Service personnel were friendly and helpful, from giving a glass of refreshing wine to carry our luggage to the room, and valet parking the car. The food was amazing--world class, in fact. We really enjoyed the extensive wine list as well, and the wine waiter was very helpful in making selections every night. There is live music before dinner, and great cocktails. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. We would recommend coming in via Carleton and Kemptville. We departed on Hwy 203 towards Shelburne but would choose the same way we came in were we to do it again.

  Location was amazing, rooms were clean, staff worked very hard but there was a noticeable lack of management oversight and attention to detail.
